Don’t Panic! Here’s What to Do Without Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer 11 will no longer be supported

The date is nearing closer than we know! As Microsoft has previously communicated, Internet Explorer will no longer be supported by Microsoft as of June 15, 2022. However, there are still ways to access your applications that require Internet Explorer without “technically” using Internet Explorer. Here is how to use your older sites without IE.

Access older websites without Internet Explorer
For the best experience, we recommend switching your browser to one of the following supported browsers before June 15, if you have not done so already:

  • Microsoft Edge with Internet Explorer mode
  • Google Chrome using the IE Tab Extension

Please work with your organization’s IT department and follow the steps on the Microsoft website link below to enable Microsoft Edge with Internet Explorer 11 mode. Here is how to use your older apps without Internet Explorer: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/edge-ie-mode

Stay tuned for upgrade news
Most vendors are working to upgrade their applications and website software to support both Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, without the need for extensions. If you are affected by this, we will be reaching out to you in the coming months with information about migrating to new versions.
